THE FIRST AND OLDEST MUSICAL INSTRUMENT

FLUTE IS THE FIRST AND OLDEST MUSICAL INSTRUMENT  At least that appears likely.  Found in  Slovenia, in a cave that was inhabited by Neanderthals,  the 4.5-inch cave bear femur has four spaced, similarly-sized holes in a line in a recognizable musical scale. Even though the odds of that happening by chance are slim, much of the scientific community has rejected the idea that Neanderthals had the cognitive ability and creativity to make music, much less a flute to produce it. The main competing hypothesis is that carnivores made the holes while chewing the bone. In all fairness, both ends of the article do appear to have suffered gnawing. But experiments have shown that it would be nearly impossible for carnivores to produce the holes on the thickest and most rigid part of the bone without breaking it. And no match could be found for any animal to make two of the holes at a time.  A reconstructed model of the flute  has been used to produce good qua...

Interesting history about the people of lipke

Interesting history about the people of Lipke and Guangs The people of Lipke call themselves as the Bakpɛle, the orginated from ɔkpɛle known as  Likpe person’. The history of the Bakpɛle has been connected  to the story that they migrated from Atebubu in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana Before settling down at Atebubu, they migrated from the East African sub-region with some other Guang tribes, The exodus  saw the Bakpɛle and the Guangs move from the east toward the west to the savannah regions of Sudan through the Lake Chad area. Oral tradition has it that the Bakpɛle settled in the southern side of the ancient Ghana Empire, until the empire was threatened by the invasion of Abdullah Ibn Yasin and the Almoravids (a militant Moslem or Berber dynasty). They moved into modern Ghana in several waves between 1054 and 1076. The Bakpɛle were one of the largest of the Guang ethnic groups which included the Balɛ (Santrokofi), Nkonya, Buem, Akpafu (lolobi), Krachi, Adele, Nchumuru...

History about Ashanti's and Akuapem war

THE HISTORY ABOUT ODWIRA  1826 a war between the Ashantis and the Akuapem at that time the King of the Ashantis was Osei Yaw Akoto   and the King of the Akuapems was Nana Addow Dankwah.   The name of the war was Akatamanso war and it was fought at Dodowa, at that war the Akuapems captured the war spirit of the Ashantis. The name of the spirit was Odosu. And they also captured the Ntakrahyew. So this made Nana Addow Dankwah I powerful, and he was the first Okuapemhene to celebrate Odwira. The Akropongs celebrate Akwasidae but when the white men came to Akropong with the Presby Church they went to plead Nana Addow Dankwah I that they should make the Akwasidae Awukudae so that the people will attend church. So he called his elders and informed them about what they said about the Akwasidae. All this happened 1828, that's why the Akropongs, Aburi and Larteh celebrate Awukudae.  About 1866 during the reign of Nana Kwadade the King of the Akuapem, a battle broke ...

A brief history about philosophy and science

HISTORY ABOUT PHILOSOPHY AND SCIENCE  Philosophy began in Ancient Egypt & science began in Ancient Sumerian  Philosophy, science, and logic were not born in ancient Greece, as they existed in ancient Egypt centuries ago. Greek philosophers learned this information by going to Egypt and Mesopotamia. First of all, the Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Sumerian and Indian cultures are more ancient and older than the Ancient Greek culture.  Science and wisdom in Mesopotamia and especially Egypt were held in high esteem by the Greeks. Although it was an expensive journey, going to Egypt and getting an education was as valuable as going to American universities and getting a doctorate today. For this reason, the majority of Greek philosophers went to Egypt. They wrote down the information they learned there as if they had discovered it themselves  THALES is considered the founder of philosophy. But, according to Herodotus, Thales, who was Phoenician, began to think about the un...

A BEAUTIFUL STORY ABOUT BRITISH

BRITISH BLOODY HISTORY AND THE BUTCHERS APRON The Butcher's Apron is a derogatory term for the British flag, believed to have been originally named by Irish republicans, citing the blood-streaked appearance of the flag   and referring to atrocities committed in Ireland and other countries under British colonial rule.  The name is popular with thinking people around the globe, especially the peoples from the British colonies who were at the receiving end of the blood curdling atrocities and plundering of the British. A COUNTER EXPLANATION Here is the counter explanation from a typical British citizen, John Secker from Blackpool, Lancashire: 'Because while the British were generously bringing the benefits of civilisation to all corners of the globe, a number of folk already living in these places put up unreasonable resistance to this peaceful and Christian endeavour. Regrettably in a few hundred isolated cases it was necessary to resort to lethal force in order to bring p...
